Your opinion? Slime mold (Physarum album)

Hi there,

I found this slime molds some days ago on a rotten branch and took it with me to take some stacks at home.
The first one was made with my extension rings (36, 20 6 12mm) and the Raynox DCR-250 lens attachment. The second one with the extension rings as well but with a Raynox MSN-505 lens. That's the highest possible magnification for me.

Both stacks were made with a cheap manual macro rail.

The slime molds was about 2mm tall. Just to give you a feeling for the dimension.

They are so small. They look bigger in the pictures, more like close up photo.

You do well with the Raynox. I am still trying to get some decent shots with mine. It's going to take some practice I guess.
Those little mold caps look so much like a little cake ball dusted with sugar and cocoa powder. Do they taste good?

Never have tried one... too small for me.

Yes, indeed. As you can see they are abojt 2-3mm.

I have too search them as well. Sometimes more than one hour to find a rotten branch or leaf with slime molds on it.
