Snowflake, ice

Hi !
I hope you're well, I know i'm not really active but it's not easy for me to get free time ^^
And I saw I lose motivation during winter ...

But I need to get it back, I know the snow will come in my city, later and I hope I will be able to take picture of snowflake
but i don't know if I will be able to take it (never done this before)

Do you think it can be ok with my stuff ? Panasonic GX 80 + Olympus 60mm 2.8 macro + Raynox 250

I read some advices on the web, for snowflake, the better thing to do is to put a wear like a scarf and shoot snowflake wich fell on it.
I hope I will get snow ><

It will be much more easier if it will snow where you based. As you don’t need to put so much effort.

In my opinion Greg , you already have macro setup, adding Raynox attachment, will help to get you closer to the snowflake. I have not experienced any shooting with Raynox. I believe Helix_2648 could give you a better advice here or @Mentor .

this photo is awesome; however I don't know this type of setting nor the gears such as Raynox
But the photo is gorgeous!

I really want to make picture like this ^^ I saw photographer who made this king of picture, with poor stuff. So this is possible, now we need snow to try lol

I think that your euipment is ok for this. You've to hurry up and you should use focus stacking. I would recommend to use a frozen little glass plate for the snow flakes. But it in the freezer and take it out before you go out. Or use branches with new snow flakes.

Be careful with the wind and changing light conditions if you use focus stacking.
