The little butterfly

Found this little butterfly when I was testing my new Raynox DCR 250 to Fuji XT1 + Fujinon XF 18-55mm (tried with my Fujinon 60 mm, but unfortunately not fit. I need to buy the step up ring first 😮💨). The results are not really satisfying for me because almost the same with my current macro lens Fujinon 60mm. Some more, the vignette is a bit disturbing.
I hope I can take closer macro photos next time with my 60mm lens and Raynox. ☺️

Photo taken with:
Fujifilm XT1
Fujinon XF 18-55mm
Raynox DCR 250

F4.0, 1/125, ISO 400, no flash.

You did great job here lovitazoe lovitazoe . Is close enough to the subject, so the photo does classified as macro.

I'm sure you will get closer with raynox attachment.

Thank you, Jack. You are very reassuring. 😃
Hope the step up ring fits well. I just ordered it from overseas, maybe next week it will arrive. Some reviews said it's difficult to find step up ring that fits Fujinon 60mm. So, fingers crossed. ☺️

Great shot..you can try using a zoom lens and keep a narrow aperture of f/10 - f/12 for great result..It's best to use an external flash if available. I've been using both Raynox 150 & 250 for quite some time..the greater the focal length, the greater will be the magnification. And if the aperture is as narrow as possible, the depth of field will be less and it'll be easy to focus..One another tip..I always use focus peeking feature when shooting macros..it's quite helpful. Just thought of sharing the info. :D

I'm not familiar with the Raynox 250 and I noticed you also mentioned the 18-55mm lens. Is the 250 something like an extension tube where it works with a primary lens rather than being a lens by itself?

It's around $10 for 1, Jack. There are some shop online here sell for $2, but I'm not convinced.

Hi tlawrence tlawrence !
hmm..It's not an extension tube. But it's like a lens attachment to increase a camera magnification, just clip it to primary lens.
But, you are right, it's only works with primary lens with 52mm - 67mm filter size.
