Hi panos_adgr panos_adgr . Can you attach this lens to any camera mount?
Hello Jack.
No. This lens was made with Nikon F mount but you can find it with the mounts that I wrote on the text.
There were some 70s lenses that had the design to change their mount and use them in other systems but not this one.
You can find it in ebay made with many different mounts.

Would love to see results. How photos looks when taken with lens. Seems not be expensive at all.

It is not expensive at all. But things with vintage lenses are odd. If a hype develops around a lens then the prices go rocket high in just a few days.
I discovered another Vivitar lens today who is one of the best tele zooms ever made and its price is sky high between 500-600 euros. It is also suitable for macro and has flat field optic design in the rear element to keep homogenous performance across the entire frame. It is made in 1978 and I want it like crazy. :ROFLMAO:
It is bloody expensive though, for a vintage lens.

And finally my first genuine Macro lens has arrived!!!!
Faster that I would expect! DHL speed!

Toady I recieved my new Vivitar 55mm f2.8 1:1 macro lens!
I received it in my workplace.
I unpacked it and I has pleasantly surprised!
My lens came in minty shape!
It is completely clean as new, no scrathes, no dust, crear glass, clear shiny mount in almost perfect condition! I'm very excited!

The first physical impressions are, that the lens even though is a bit bulky compared to my other 50 - 55mm lenses it is not that heavy. It functions great, with focushing ring feel, smooth and a bit uneven something normal for its age. The ring turns a bit more easily when is goes to the macro range. Aperture ring works perfectly and is snappy.

When I focus to 1:1 it goes reallyyyyy close!! The distance from the subject is very small. Focusing at 1:1 is really hard due to the narrow depth of field and I have to be very precise. I took some test photos and I conclude that 1:1 is really impressive! It is after all my first time of owning a genuine macro lens!

I played a bit with spot lights to see its bokeh and it seems lovely! I want to see how it performs 'on the field' now!
I like the fact that the front barrel of the lens extends and it works as a hood.

And it goes really close!
OK. You will tell me that is 1:1....

Yes Jack!
From the first photos I took, even indoors, it seems great! And it is sharp! I need to practise yet with the Vivitar.
