What's the best way to shoot insects ?

Hi, I would like to ask, what's the best way of shooting insects ? Is there any technique ?

btw, does the tank glass affect the image quality?

i didnt shoot through the glass, shot through the top of the tank, with tank on its side/end

for the small spider i was shooting i knew trying throug the glass wouldnt works, too much reflection from light and wouldnt get close enough in the tank if needed to

that’s what I was thinking as well, probably depends what insects you are shooting too.

I'll have to finish my UV vid on spiders, it just a basic set up and how i did vid, but it works

I\ve some of technique about in my one guide book form UK , . need to read more about . I shooted insects in last summer, but in the summer I have a challenge to improve it with the new possibilities . still waiting for ,when the insects in Finland awake from the winter sleeping

You can do this with dead insects or alive ?

alive and happy...that makes it worth the challenge....
