Where the Periwinkle (Littorina littorea) Roam. An interesting story of an invasive species. Introduced to the Atlantic coast of North America, possibly by rock ballast in the mid-19th century. First recorded sighting in the East was in 1840 in the Gulf of St. Lawrence. It is now abundant on rocky shores from New Jersey northward to Newfoundland. In Canada, its range includes New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Quebec, Newfoundland and Labrador ~ from Wikipedia. Mary's Point, New Brunswick, Canada. Ramsar site no. 236.

Okay since my Theme of the Day is the American Desert, I will be uploading one of my most popular spotting ever shot by me and it was at my favourite NWR in Nevada along the border with California. Already posted one photo of this great beauty so here is #2 (Me Theme of the Week). Black-tailed Jackrabbit (Lepus californicus) Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge, Nevada, United States. Ramsar site no. 347. I so totally loved spending an hour with this guy as the sun set.

I totally love when they stick their tongue out at me!!

Oh hell...let's go for three it is a new month
