It was late in the afternoon so the fly was pretty chill with me approaching it, i took about 15 photos before it flew away, and luckily some were in focus.

you took a lot of images, did you think to stack ?

Stacking would be a good option if there's not too much wind, but the picture is even great without. I just would like a little more DOF, so that the hairs on the body would also be a bit sharper. But that's the last 2% to reach the goal!

I stack some of my photos, but for most, if the eyes are in focus i just leave them like that.
