Great shoot Shan , I like the minimalism on the picture, with the sharpnes of the fly, and the perspective of them.. ,and nice light, not too strong, suitably.. The pictures describing is great!, it get the picture story .. , we so offen forget about, how good discriptions of the pictures are important...

Macro photographers are funny people, becasue any spiders, flys.. are so welcoming to thems home.. , normal people hate them and kill fastly.. , but macro phototgraphers are just happy of visitors and opportunites to take great pictures of them..

its on the lens, when i do birding with my 200 500 they vanish! however would probably get both the lens and the body serviced once the lockdown is over!

I would clean the sensor first Shan cheaper than having the lens serviced.
Dust on the front or inside the lens would usually only cause a very minimal loss of contrast but would not be visible on the image.
