i never tried to talk pictures of insects, I found to be very difficult.
What aperture you have here ? As the insect is not fully in focus :)

This photo was taken with a travel camera Sony DSC-RX100M2 Aperture ƒ/4.0. I used to photograph the beetles with the smaller cameras due to them moving around so much. Now I have the Canon EOS M100 Mirrorless.

you could have an f10-11 so the insect Was more in focus . Anyway I like the insects head, is very sharp :)
