The first switch can be used to set the working area of the auto focus. This makes it easier for lens to work correctly and be faster. The electronic ignores the distance before and behind your setting and searches only in the defined area.

FULL means, that the auto focus tries to focus on a subject which lies between the close-up limit up to infinity.
0,45M-INFINITY means that the auto focus works only from 0,45 meter up to infinity.
0,312-0,45m means that the auto focus only works between 0,312 meter and 0,45 meter

AF/M means auto focus or manual focus

OS OFF/1/2 changes the setting for the integrated stabilizer. So either it's deactivated, or it's activated but with lower compensation or with max. compensation.

That was exactly the information I was looking for. thank you so much man! I didn't realize I have to be this far from the subject as well, all my shots were of 10cm and less, this will make things a lot easier for me :)

I have similar settings on my 100mm f2.8 L . You just need some practice ;)

Hello Natalia, thanks for the feedback :) Yes I do shoot in raw (and jpeg as well) and this was just cropped, I'm not yet much into editing other than cropping or so, I usually prefer the photo to be good enough without further actions.
I'll definitely keep your recommendations in mind for the next shooting session, the flowers aren't going anywhere for a while and they smell delicious so I can stay around them for a long time

I'll give that a try and will let you know how it goes :)
Your French message makes me want to go to Finland, we have days of fire here rather than days of ice :D (yes, I prefer ice to fire)

You must have an excellent eye sight! If I do that I will miss almost all photos lol

I'm using it on Manual Focus too, because when too close to the subject the Auto mode, isn't working great and is not as accurate as expected.
