There is no deep negative space in the image.
There is the large leaf on the left competing with the subject for the eye`s attention.

I think you could be right here ,

your composition is good, but if you want to keep your image as it is, the sharpness of your insect must be impeccable.

What do you think about this editing?
I just cropped more, blurred backround more by ajustment brash using and tried to improve sharpness on the insect and added more vignetting- in Lightroom classic of course
Better?
Would you have any suggestions to this option?
