Sony a6400 problem

I have a Sony a6400 which i bought new in December 2020. Up till a few weeks ago it worked fine. But then it started to have a small problem. When i want to view back photos on the lcd screen it sometimes opens the photo and straight away closes it again. I then have to try several times before the photo stays open and i can view it.

I already did a factory reset of the camera and new sd cards. This helped for a week or 2 and now the problem is back since yesterday evening.

Anyone had an idea what it might be before i send the camera in for repair, which would mean having no camera for 6-8 weeks.

I did drive to Maastricht this morning, is a 43 mile round trip. They are going to check the camera. But that means i don't have the a6400 for the next 6-8 weeks. So its back to the Panasonic fz1000 for the time being.

That's is far and long time to wait for servicing. Did they say what's the problem?

They didn't have a clue in the shop

I hope it too. Been thinking of buying a old sony camera like the a7r, did see one for 399 euro with 11500 clicks on it. And then use the a6400 for non macro photos when i get it back. But not sure if the sony a7r is a good buy in 2021

Is it a warranty case or have you to pay for the repair? Never heard about such a problem but I never had a Sony camera.

It is under warranty, the camera was bought in december 2020, so just 6 months old.

I'm sorry, but I don't know the problem, I guess it's a software bug or maybe something with the card. I'm more an optics guy... I recommend a support ticket with Sony or a bit of internet research, maybe somebody else had this problem as well.
