It was very small @Christophe Berche I would say a bit over 1.5mm body size and I had my 70mm macro lens on the camera so could go no closer.

They seem to get good reviews but I`m reluctant to put a piece of glass in front of my sharp macro lens.

For occasional use, it remains cheaper than buying an MPE 65 at 1000 €

Hi @Bill Edwards, I've a Raynox DCR-250 lens and use it for my macros. I can really recommend it. But be aware because of the very little DOF! A spider like this is really a challenge! Because every gut of wind kicks your spider out of focus! Especially if you try to stack such small objects... sometimes I get really crazy!

@Bill Edwards here is an example for you. A stacked grass bug with the Raynox DCR-250. It was about 4mm.

ISO100, f/4.0, 1/160s (stacked without flash)
