How you set up your flash when shooting insects and macro ? Do you use it on Auto mode or Manual ?

Hi ! My ring flash is not auto, so I must select the power by myself. But with a ttl cobra I used to use auto mode
I have my canon 600Rt TTl , so I was wondering what’s the best mode to take pictures on
Sometime my auto mode make some stupids things lol I prefere to control everything ^^ I think it's like camera modes , aperture mode is good, speed mode too , but I prefere to use Manual mode ^^
I know what you saying, it’s easier in Auto, but I guess with manual settings you might achieve other results .
Hopefully I can give some comments after some tests with my new and first flash tomorrow. The settings are not really a miracle for me but theory and praxis are mostly not the same.
On mine I never used on manual mode, on,y automatically. So was wondering how others are using their flashes.

in my ring flsh is not another options too as just one automat with regulation of the power of the light.., I use sometime flash in camera- this one I prefer in manual.. , but I need to buy someting else still.. any Godox flash for Olympus camreas but still think what I'll buy, as I need this for portraits , sport , and nothers not only for macro ..

For macro , a ring flash is very good ^^ But I saw other equipment, 2 lights fix on flash , 2 light that we can move
Ring flash yes they good, I checked canon ring flashes and they are too expensive.
