I use a 18-55mm wide-angle lens with a close up (x10) filter ... that's why the quality is not good .. now I am thinking of buying the canon macro lens 100mm because I am more concerned with macrophotography...Which lens / filter have you use? It's a wonderful picture but looks a bit cropped. Like it's a magnified part from a bigger picture. Especially the fine hairs at the end of the wings looks unfortunately not really clear.

very good choice! For sure one of (or maybe THE) best macro lenses ever.
