Helicon Focus has a good feature included. You can choose whether you want to render all images or only every third or fourth shot. so it might be possible to open the video and select only every fourth picture. I think I'll give it a try the next days.

I think future modern cameras will have all these functions to stack images within camera , so you won’t need any additional software for doing this, and spending money on softs .

Ive been using Zerene trial and it has a much better result specially when you get to about 8 or more photos in the stack, much better in detecting what it sharp and what isnt so end result does not need too much cleanup and is generally better.

I heard about it, but never tried. Some people say that helicon is the best and some zerene

A feature which I have been looking at is the best of both worlds, pixelshift or high resolution mode. You dont need to get too close and have the headaches of extreme macro if you can take a picture with almost 200MP's, you can just stay back, take a picture at a more normal magnification and then crop away, you will still have a great image throwing away 80% of the photo

I know that cropping images can affect photo quality sometimes, and it also doesn’t make the subject closer.
