    Witch Hazel (Hamamelis virginiana) Greely, Ontario, Canada. Witch-hazel curious yellow flowers bloom in autumn, after most deciduous plants have lost their leaves. The woody fruit, when mature, will eject its seed a distance of 15 feet or more. The lotion called witch hazel is made from the bark.
