I would say IG is business same as FB, not a miracle why FB bought WhatsApp, Instagram and other couple of applications. I did not had time to check my IG long time ago, but to be honest, I'm fed up of it, even if I have over 9k followers, and I can't see there anything which will interest me, on homepage, you might see sometime nude images, which is ridiculous.

And what everything said above, and Helix_2648 Helix_2648 depends on forum as well, there are hundreds of photography forums on internet, one more important key is how interesting the forum is and how has been built. I'm sure 100% that if this forum was very simple, than no one was here :)

What I believe IG was made for phone photography, as you quick shooted and quick uploaded.

That's why I think forums are more for professional photographers, when social media are for those who are shooting with phone.

Also, there are a lot of forums, and as I said, it’s very important how is built that forum and what benefits does have.

It's interesting to see, that a lot of our new members only post their pictures in the media gallery instead of posting them on our forum. Looks like the same behaviour as FB / Insta users. Easy upload and just earn "likes".

That's why the personal storage on personal photo album is limited. The purpose of own photo album is just a small introduction to the photographers work. I think most members just come on forum, upload on media gallery till they spend all space, and t than they have not really a lot of interest.
